
We are looking at how a medication that contains microorganisms from a group of healthy donors, may help treat digestive symptoms in those suffering from irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C).
The medication is a capsule that contains safely prepared, dried, live microorganisms from healthy human stool samples.
The type of treatment is often called “Intestinal Microbiota Transplant.”
We’re shaping the future of IBS treatment
We’re looking for individuals who:
Are male or non-pregnant female, aged 18-70
Have been living with IBS and constipation for at least 6 months
Live in the UK with easy access to our clinics in Manchester, London, or Cambridge
Are able to come to the clinic in-person
Are happy to take our tests in-clinic and give samples as explained by our team
Aside from meeting the criteria for IBS-C, you’ll also need to meet the remaining inclusion and exclusion criteria to take part. This will be assessed by a member of the study team.
As a participant we have designed the study so it’s as easy as possible for you to take part.
You’ll be asked to:
Come to the clinic in-person for 6 appointments in London, Manchester, or Cambridge
Take part in investigations, complete questionnaires and keep a bowel diary.
