What happens during the treatment?
Session number and frequency are tailored to the individual. Sessions typically last 45 minutes, with the number of sessions depending on your progress.
Follow-up or maintenance sessions may be recommended to keep symptoms under control.
During the session
Your physiotherapist will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle.A physical examination may be performed to evaluate muscle tone and identify areas of tension or weakness.
You’ll learn exercises designed to strengthen and relax the pelvic floor muscles, depending on your specific needs. Techniques may include pelvic floor exercises, breathing strategies, or posture adjustments.
After the session
Most people can resume normal activities immediately after each session. You may notice gradual improvements in bowel function, pain levels, and overall comfort over the course of treatment.
